Touring with Children

Touring with Children

Please remember when you go on Tour, not only are you representing Thornbury RFC,  you are also representing Gloucestershire RFU.

Plan your tour in accordance with the RFU Touring with Children’s tool kit which can be found here –

  • The Risk Assessment for Touring with Children can be found at the bottom of the RFU Touring with Children Policy. This MUST be sent to admin@grfu.org with your tour application 4 weeks prior to the Tour. Tour permission forms are now on line on the GRFU website. Failure to do so could incur a £100 fine to the club.

A tour is an overnight stay at a location within the UK that involves a game(s) of rugby. If you are not going to take part in any regulated rugby activities, but are going on a team building weekend you do not need to ask permission to tour. If you are going on a Team Building weekend away DO NOT WEAR ANY TOPS STATING TRFC ON TOUR.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. If you have a concern about a child or adults safety and or wellbeing you must act on it.

REMEMBER WHAT GOES ON TOUR DOESN’T ALWAYS STAY ON TOUR!

It is not your responsibility to decide whether or not a child or adult is being abused. It is however your responsibility to act on any concerns.
